The agreement

These terms apply to an agency that puts THE WALK's host on its website, and to anyone who talks to her there. Putting the host live, or talking to her, is acceptance of them.

What THE WALK provides

A voice host on the agency's website who answers buyers about the agency's homes, day or night, in English, Spanish, French and German. After each talk the agency receives the package: the recording, the written copy, what was asked and how it was said, and the buyer's details if the buyer gave them. The buyer receives a copy of the talk if they ask for one.

The host is not a person

The host is software. She answers from the homes the agency shows on its website and from what the agency tells us about them. Nothing is invented, but she can be wrong. Prices, availability, measurements and legal details are to be confirmed with the agency before any decision is made. A talk may be limited in length.

What we need from the agency

A public website with the agency's homes on it, and the agency's confirmation that it holds the right to show those homes and to have the host answer about them. We rely on that confirmation.

Recordings and copies

Talks are recorded and written up as described in our privacy notice. The agency receives them as the one the buyer was talking to, and is responsible for using them lawfully and for following up as the buyer asked. THE WALK keeps them for twelve months, then deletes them, or sooner if the buyer or the agency asks.

Accuracy

The host speaks from the material supplied to us. The agency keeps that material current and tells us when a home is sold or changed. Nothing is invented about a home.

Fees

Any fees are agreed with the agency in writing before the host goes live on its website. Nothing on this site is an offer at a price.

The service

The host is constantly evolving. We may change how she looks, speaks and works, and we may pause the service for maintenance or to put something right. Either side may end the arrangement by writing to the other; the host then comes off the agency's website and the agency keeps the packages it has already received.

Liability

We are responsible for providing the host as described here. We are not responsible for the commercial outcome of any enquiry, for decisions made on what the host said before it was confirmed with the agency, or for losses arising from material supplied to us that the agency did not have the right to supply.

Changes

These terms may change. The version in force is the one published here on the day the host is used.
